Summary
A small shelter on a steep slope above the left bank of the River Avon. This feature measures 1.2m square internally and is formed by three short coursed boulder walls built against a large earthfast boulder. There is no obvious entrance and its location, in the midst of a cluster of pillow mounds is suggestive of its use as an equipment store or temporary shelter associated with warrening activity in the immediate area.

Full description
Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1993-1998, Dartmoor Royal Forest Project (Report - Survey). SDV346608.
(18/10/1996) SX6558766638. A small shelter is situated on a slight shelf on a steep SW-facing slope above the left bank of the River Avon. This feature measures 1.2m square internally and is formed by three short coursed boulder walls built against a large earthfast boulder. There is no obvious entrance and its location, in the midst of a cluster of pillow mounds (SX 66 NE 43) is suggestive of its use as an equipment store or temporary shelter associated with the warrening activity in the immediate area.
