Summary

Medieval or later streamworks on T Girt. An archaeological field survey in 1995 recorded the workings as having an average width of 50 metres and a maximum depth of 3-4 metres. The east side is flanked by a series of channels which carried water to a reservoir at SX 62377050.

(11/09/1995) Streamworks on T Girt run from SX 62316967 to SX 62657040, where they join the extensive streamworks on the upper Swincombe (Monument HOB UID 910357). The workings are an impressive feature on the hillside, with an average width of 50 metres and a maximum depth of 3-4 metres. The east side is flanked by a series of channels which carried water to a reservoir at SX 62377050. A well preserved tinner's building lies at the southern end (Monument HOB UID 1064056).
