Full description

Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1993-1998, Dartmoor Royal Forest Project, S. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV346608.

(11/11/1994) SX 61226853 to SX 61176851. The fragmentary remains of a former tinners leat lie on the floodplain above the right bank of the River Plym 1300m E of Eylesbarrow. The remains are visible as two much silted channels at best 0.9m wide and 0.2m deep with traces of a slight bank on the S margin. It seems likely that the leat took water from a small right bank tributary of the Plym and delivered it to the streamworks further down the river.
