Full description

This stone marks the boundary of the Meavy catchment for Burrato Reservoir, purchased by Plymouth Corporation Water Works.

(06/01/1995) Boundary stone 600m W of Eylesbarrow, at SX 60176914. The stone is a dressed granite pillar witha pyramidal top, measuring 1.66m high and 0.3m square. The pillar leans slightly to the N. The letters PCWW, 0.05m high, and the date1917, numbers 0.07m high, are inscribed in a panel 0.3m square on its W face. There is an erosion hollow at the base of the pillar.
