Summary
The remains of a small building measuring 4.5m. x 4.0m. No wall exists on the side abutting the stream; it may have been destroyed. The remaining dry stone walls are 0.7m. thick with a maximum height of 0.7m. Inside is a small rectangle of stones which may be a hearth. The date and purpose of this structure cannot be determined.

(04/08/1977) At SX66726074 on the east bank of the East Glaze Brook in Newland's Brakes are the remains of a small building measuring 4.5 metres by 4.0 metres. No wall exists on the side abutting the stream; it may have been destroyed. The remaining dry stone walls are 0.7 metres. Inside is a small rectangle of stones which may be a hearth. The date and purpose of this structure cannot be determined. Found during field investigation.
Surveyed at 1:10 000 on PFD.
