Full description
Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, P. Pattison (Report - Survey). SDV350839.
(25/03/1990) SX 6960 7969. A leat serving the tin works SX 67 NE 49.
The leat is a U-shaped channel 0.8m wide and 0.4m seep taking water from a stream at SX 6965 7967 and running WNW downslope diagonally across the contours, cutting lynchets of field system SX 67 NE 111, to the Widecombe road at SX 6955 7971. It cannot now be traced beyond this point but originally continued to a launder bank which survives at SX 6948 7970, part of the tin works SX 67 NE 49.
