(25/04/1996) Centred SX 67927152. A WNW to ESE line of tin pits on the crest of the ridge overlooking the W side of Venford Reservoir. The pits are small with diameters of around 2.0m and remain a maximum of 0.5m deep. They maintain a ESE to WNW line up the gentle slope from the reservoir and bifurcate just before the ridge crest. Their size suggests that these are prospecting rather than extractive pits.
