Summary
The pit is slightly ovoid, measuring 7.1m NW-SE by 3.8m. It survives to a depth of 0.4m. Spoil heaps lie to the NE and SW. This feature is probably an extension of the extensive tin workings (SX 68 NE 165) centred on the Longstone Brook.

(05/02/1992) SX 66228532. A solitary tin pit on level ground 300m NW of Thornworthy Tor. The pit is slightly ovoid, measuring 7.1m NW-SE by 3.8m. It survives to a depth of 0.4m. Spoil heaps lie to the NE and SW.
This feature is probably an extension of the extensive tin workings (SX 678 NE 165) centred on the Longstone Brook.
