Summary

The remains of an abandoned cornditch are visible as a turf bank of 1.6 metres wide and 0.6 metres high. It has a ditch on its western side of 1.9 metres wide and 0.4 metres deep.

Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, S. A. J. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV350839.

(11/10/1991) SX 66818631 to SX 66788646. A cornditch, formerly marking the limit of medieval activity on the E flank of Chagford Common 250m ENE of Castor Rock. It is visible as a turf bank 1.6m wide and up to 0.6m high with a ditch on its W side 1.9m wide and 0.4m deep. It runs N from the NW corner of Yelfords Newtake to SX 66778644 where it turns NE terminating at SX 66788646 on the edge of the enclosed land.
