Full description
Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1979, SX66SE127 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV149334.
(17/07/1979) A Type 2 hut circle (Type Site: SX 56 NE 71) was found at SX 67186072 during field work. It has an internal diameter of 5.7m and has been levelled into a north slope to a depth of 0.4m. Walling, 1.2m wide and 0.3m high, is visible for a short distance on each side of an entrance gap on the south.
Surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. (See also SX 66 SE 116 for plan.)

This stone hut circle lies on the south western slope of Corringdon Ball and forms part of a concentration of occupation evidence surviving in the area. It is 7 metres in diameter and is set into the slope to a depth of 0.4 metres. The walls measure 1.2 metres in width and 0.3 metres in height and there is an entrance to the south.
