Full description
Hobbs, S., 2021, Nine-Men's Morris Stone (Worksheet). SDV364804.
A piece of local slate inscribed with a nine-men's morris game was found lying amongst debris on a cobbled floor that was exposed during land clearance on the site of a known medieval chapel. The slate which is broken is about 26cm by 90cm. Pottery sherds (not retained) were also found. The present location of the stone is unknown.
