(04/08/1977) At SX 66986063 on the south-west facing slopes of Corringdon Ball, above Newland's Brakes, are two hut circles.
The north-western example is a Type 2 hut, with levelled interior; its internal diameter is 10.3 metres and its wall, double faced is 1.1 metres thick. The other hut is very ruinous but recognisable by its levelled interior and the footings of the wall, its type cannot be determined, internal diameter approximately 7.5 metres. Found during field investigation.

This stone hut circle is one of two which lie on the southern slope of Corringdon Ball, some 30m north of Corringdon Leat. These hut circles form part of a concentration of occupation evidence surviving in the area. This hut circle measures 12 metres in diameter and has walls 1.5 metres in thickness and 0.7 metres in height with an entrance to the south-west.
