Summary

A short section of a silted leat channel extends 150 E from Fernworthy Forest. The channel measures 1.0m wide and is a maximum of 0.35m deep with a bank on its downslope side 1.1m wide and 0.4m high. Its course becomes lost in the marshy ground on the W bank of the Longstone Brook. It probably fed the extensive tinworkings (SX 68 NE 165) centred on the Longstone Brook.

(05/02/1992) SX 65758482 to SX 65898486. A short section of a silted leat channel extends 150 E from Fernworthy Forest.
The channel measures 1.0m wide and is a maximum of 0.35m deep with a bank on its downslope side 1.1m wide and 0.4m high. Its course becomes lost in the marshy ground on the W bank of the Longstone Brook.
It probably fed the extensive tinworkings (SX 68 NE 165) centred on the Longstone Brook.
