[Sited from Hemery's description and Ordnance Survey 10,560 1963 map to general area SX754766] A little north of the Saddle Hay col is a hut circle. its site would have been a propitious one for a Bronze Age colony, though quarrying has destroyed such evidence as might have previously existed (citing Hemery, 1983, 699).
(20/02/1999) No hut circle found at this site. It is possible that Hemery was referring to SX 77 NW 54.
