Summary

Doubtful site of field banks, left bank of bala brook. Vis=-/9/1977 (robinson, r. ). There are several low stone banks in the area of open moor on the left bank of bala brook where the valley side slopes up below the track to zeal tor tramway, just beyond the enclosed fields of zeal farm. Two long areas of stone scatter lie uphill from the higher of the two leats that go along the contour from the corner of the zeal fields, about 200m from the corner, and there are several others further down the slope. They appear to be man made and may represent a very fragmentary field system. They do not show on the 1946 raf ap.
