Just to the east of the adit is a large spoil heap where waste material from tha mining activity was dumped. The spoil heap is approximately 12m in diameter, stands about 3m high and is slightly conical in shape.
The spoil heap should be kept free of new planting. Stone should not be collected from the spoil heap.
