Berry, N. + Simmonds, T., 1996, An Archaeological Survey of Boro Wood (SX7571), Erme Wood (SX6357), Wistmans Wood (SX6177) and Newpark Waste (SX5961), BW12 (Report - Survey). SDV360518.

SX 75277165 Pits. Series of five pits in small area south of south-western corner of field ?404 on Tithe Map and presumably associated with mining activity (sic. nearby adit). All pits roughly rectangular, 3 - 4m long and 1.5 - 2m wide, generally cut with long axis along contour.
[NB: Tithe Map plot number should read 403, not 404, which lies over 400m to the south-west. Richards, A. F., 12/08/2022].
