Berry, N. + Simmonds, T., 1996, An Archaeological Survey of Boro Wood (SX7571), Erme Wood (SX6357), Wistmans Wood (SX6177) and Newpark Waste (SX5961), BW19-20 (Report - Survey). SDV360518.

(BW19) SX 75057178 Earthwork. Low and narrow earth bank, but with some large boulders on the bank, running for approximately 100m north-east to south-west in middle of wood. Shown on 6 inch map. Is south-east side of square enclosure, bordering by tracks on the other three sides. These have occasional planted beech trees alongside the tracks, and the enclosed are contains different and recently regenerated woodland e.g. birch, compared with the old coppice to north and coppice standards to the south of the area. The Ordnance Survey 6 inch map shows conifers within the enclosed area.
BW20 SX 75017183 Track forming north and eastern sides of end area (above), terraced into hillslope on north-east, bordered in places by beech trees. A diagonal trackway running west uphill cuts the end area in two.
