Name:Curvilinear earthwork in Erme Wood

Summary

Curvilinear feature located close to eastern boundary of Erme Wood, consisting of earth and stone matrix with clearly defined stone footing/facing. The bank itself is around 3 - 3.5m at its maximum, average 2.5m and faced on the north and east sides by large angular stones. Maximum height is 0.4m. In ground plan it forms an arc extending north and west from the south-east terminus, for 18m - 12m until broken by footpath. Clearly visible for a extending for another 8m west of footpath before visibility hampered by undergrowth.

SX 63875764 Curvilinear earthwork. Curvilinear feature located close to eastern boundary of Erme Wood, consisting of earth and stone matrix with clearly defined stone footing/facing.
