SX 737691 Shaft / Prospecting pit.
This feature is located in the north of the wood just to the east of a former field boundary. It consists of a sub circular depression 7m in diameter and 1.5m deep, down slope there is a spoil heap.
The feature is important in a local context. The site should be cleared of scrub and saplings and the area excluded from any new planting.
