Wheelpit at SX 7334 6932
The remains of a medium sized wheel pit are located here directly east of the engine shaft (MDV133395) and shaft (MDV133396). The wheel pit would have powered the flat rods. Water for the wheel pit would have originally come from the South Plain leat (MDV130678).
The feature is of local importance. The wheel pit and the immediate surrounding area should be cleared of saplings and scrub. The area should be excluded from new planting.
