Summary
Bank recorded during walkover survey in October 2005. A field bank running north-south in the western part of the wood. Measures 2m wide and 0.3m high and is composed of earth. Can be seen for approximately 25m before it is lost in the dense undergrowth. Does not appear on the Tithe Map of 1842 or any map since; unknown function.

Earth bank at SX 7288 6939
A field bank which is running in a north south orientation. The bank is 2m wide and 0.3m high. The bank, which is composed of earth can be seen for approximately 25m before it is lost in the dense undergrowth. The bank does not appear on the tithe map of 1842 or any map since. It remains unknown for what purpose the bank was used for.
The bank is likely to continue into the surrounding undergrowth. The bank should be kept free of scrub and saplings. The feature should be excluded from areas of new planting.
