Stone recorded during walkover survey of Higher Warmacombe Wood in 2006. Granite cider pound stone, now situated in front of house, which once held the apples which were crushed to a pulp by an edge runner for cider. Presumably there was once a pound house within the Warmacombe complex.

SX 6869 6775 Granite cider pound stone, now situated in front of house, which once held the apples which were crushed to a pulp by an edge runner for cider. Presumably there was once a pound house within the Warmacombe complex.
The Pound stone is important in the local context.
