Recorded during a walkover survey in 1985, two probable air shafts were recorded near the eastern boundary of the wood, likely associated to the adits (MDV133467 and 133469).

Shafts - SX 7731 8479
Two blocked shafts one above (east of) the other and about 10m apart. These are probably air shafts for the adits lower down the valley side.
