A number of other platforms exist in King's Wood of varying sizes and usually on the steeper slopes of the wood. Some of these may be natural, particularly the smaller ones. Where these platforms are oval or sub-rectangular the long axis lies along the contour. The larger platforms may be charcoal hearths.
KW19 Platform - SX 7165 6582. Measures 5m by 2m in diameter.
NB: this platform is not marked on the report plan (and is not visible on the lidar data); field visit to confirm identification would be helpful. Richards, A. F., 27/09/2022.
