SX75240 78795 Clapper bridge recorded; robust construction with a central support for the span over the Becka Brook. Alongside is a ford and flood water ‘wash out’ of adjoining bank also noted. Bridge forms crossing for path linking Hound Tor camp with Smallacombe Rocks hut circles. Noted by the Ordnance Survey as a foot bridge (‘FB’).
Significant tin workings exist in the area, and a possible hut circle exists on the plateau south-west of the foot bridge.
