A Heritage Assessment was undertaken on a group of redundant warehouses at Middle Dock, Appledore in order to provide a record of the buildings as they now stand and inform on their adaptive reuse.
Building 4, which lies paralell to the boundry wall, is a processing warehouse. It is built of a concrete block with brick patching and some stone, possibly from an earlier building, with a corrugated ?asbestos roof. The building is largely sealed, with no natural light. There are vents along the base of the east elevation and on the roof. The interior, which is unsafe and not accessible, contains modern machinery. The building's original function was not ascertained. Against B4 is the remains of another building (B5) which may have been used for servicing the machinery in B4.
