Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
'Retreat' is marked north-north-east of 'Hawson Court' on the late 19th century historic map; not shown on the earlier 1840s Tithe Map. Modest, rectangular building aligned north-west by south-east located in the woodland to the north of Hawson Court with small additional structure adjoining at right angles at the south-eastern end (north side).

Building appears unchanged from the late 19th century historic map depiction.

The modern mapping shows this building as ruined / no longer roofed, although the small adjoining structure may have survived better; appears that the building(s) have fallen into disrepair since the historic map depictions and presumably are no longer utilised.
