Full description
British Museum, 2023, Portable Antiquities Scheme, 2023, DEV-D6DFR66 (Website). SDV365320.
(Found 2020) A lead alloy pot mend of probable medieval date, c. AD 1100-1500.
The object is pointed oval in shape, although this shape is not smooth and well defined but rather irregular. It is domed in profile, with a marked inset before the dome rises from the flattened exterior surface. It is now a yellowish white colour. No additional markings are present.
Measurements: 32mm length, 24mm width, weight 37g. Retained by finder.
