Full description

(Found 2019) A fragment of a cast copper alloy palstave of Bronze Age date, possibly Middle Bronze Age dating to c. 1600- 900 BC.
The cutting edge and part of the head of the palstave survive. It is sub rectangular in shape, although gradually widening towards the cutting edge, with a flaring blade that creates a semi circular edge. Retained by finder. See record for full detail.
