Full description

British Museum, 2023, Portable Antiquities Scheme, 2023, DEV-037408 (Website). SDV365320.

(Found 2009) Roman base silver coin. The coin is a radiate of the emperor Gallienus (sole reign), dating from 260- 268 AD. Obverse legend: GALLIENVS AVG. Obverse type: Radiate head, right. Reverse legend: (LAETIT)IA AVG. Reverse type: Laetitia standing left, holding wreath and anchor. Returned to finder.
