Summary

Three pottery sherds of medieval pottery found whilst metal detecting reported to the Portable Antiquities Scheme in 2008. Medieval in date, they are probably Totnes ware due to the micaceous inclusions in the fabric. Returned to finder.

Full description

British Museum, 2023, Portable Antiquities Scheme, 2023, DEV-551FC4 (Website). SDV365320.

(Found 2008) Three pottery sherds of medieval pottery. 1) rim and part of handle fragment from a jug; 2) abraded handled fragment; 3)fragment of handle from a jug. The sherds are probably Totnes ware due to the micaceous inclusions in the fabric. Returned to finder.
