Summary

Roman copper alloy brooch of the developed crossbow type reported to the Portable Antiquities Scheme in 2007. It dates to the fourth or fifth century AD. The upper section of the bow is highly arched, the lower section is now missing. The brooch is hinged, the pin now missing.
