(03/11/2005) Along the northern boundary of Mabor wood there are a number of tin prospecting pits and open works. These form part of the East Yeoland section working of the nineteenth century Yeoland Consols Mine.
The mining remains are important in a local context. Any forestry work in both Woods should be carried out with care to avoid damaging the mining remains. There is also the possibility that there are further concealed areas of mining within Mabor Wood.
