HER Number:MDV134274
Name:Numbers 4, 6 and 7 The Village, Ilsington

Summary

These dwellings may be contemporary with their neighbours to the north, which date to the 17th century. Their location bordering the churchyard in the centre of the village would support an early date. They are depicted on the early-mid 19th century Tithe Map, as well as subsequent historic maps. The property at the northern end served as the village Post Office and is now know as 'Old Post Office'. Nos. 6-7 The Village retain thatched roofs and form an attractive pair.
