The wall footings (gpr27)f what appears to be the buttressed wall of the north transept of the original abbey church were recorded during a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey carried out at Dunkeswell Abbey in August 2022 as part of a wider, non-invasive study of the site. Evidence for possible side chapels and further buttressing was also found (gpr29).
The more substantial footing (gpr26) recorded at the northern end of the east range may represent the south transept.
