Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
The late 19th century historic map shows original field boundary here, at the southern end of Pepperdon Down. The north-western corner of the field is filled with a triangle of conifer trees.
Ordnance Survey, 1904 - 1906, Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch Map (Cartographic). SDV325644.
Largely unchanged from the earlier map depiction, although the trees are not shown on this edition.

The 1940s aerial photographs clearly shows the field boundary still in use at this time.
