House dates to at least the early-mid 19th century, based on cartographic evidence. Depicted on the 1840s Tithe Map with cottage shown to the north, the later 19th century historic map names this house 'Parford Cottage', although at some point this name has shifted to the northern dwelling.

Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments, Plot 1181 (Cartographic). SDV359954.

House is depicted on the Tithe Map in this plot: 1181 'Meadow'. Roughly square in shape, with porch / extending wing on the roadside.

Late 19th century historic map depicts this house 'Parford Cottage', with smaller building shown nearby to north.

(Image dates: 2008-2021) Parford House is visible on the images. A two storey, stone-built house with slate tiled, gable-ended roof with chimneys set into roof (side wall, rather than at gable apex) on south and east sides. Range of casement windows visible including a flat-roofed dormer.
