Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments, Plot 1779 (Cartographic). SDV359954.

House is depicted on the Tithe Map in this plot: 1779 'Homestead'. Rectangular in shape, bordering the roadside.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Late 19th century historic map depicts this house to the north of 'Parford Cottage'.

(Image dates: 2008-2021) Parford Cottage is visible on the images. A two storey, stone-built house with slate tiled, gable-ended roof. It has been substantially extended since the 19th century historic map depictions. 2008 shows a external stone built chimney stack on the eastern side (beside the road) that is not present in the images from 2011 onwards.
