Summary

There are two possible tramway routes leading to the northern quarry entrance - this route and MDV134460 to the south. Track bed at SX 56625 73679. There are two possible tramway routes leading to the northern quarry entrance - this route and MDV134460 to the south. The two are separated only by a low bank and both routes seem to lead to SX 56648 73654 at the edge of the smaller northern quarry face. This particular route crosses the main trackway through Foggintor (MDV134438), at SX 56613 73684, en route to the end of Big Tip (MDV134459). It is an estimated 2m in width. As the other route curves southwards, to intersect with track MDV134438 further south, it is possible that both routes were contemporaneous, although only the other route is depicted on the first edition Ordnance Survey map. There is a trough depicted in the path of this route.
