(estimated 1979) Tinners' buries. Middle Brook. Extant. Deeper workings at head. Tinners buries along its length but the area near the source has conspicuously deep and dramatic workings. A search was made here for a possible shaft (which would be later in date) but without success.

The extensive earthwork remains of Medieval or Post Medieval tin streaming can be seen along the upper extent of the Middle Brook at Peter's Pit Bottom (centred at SX 6593 6366) on aerial photographs taken in March 2007 by English Heritage. The accumulated spoil and sinuous channels resulting from washing of the tin ore from the surface deposits can be seen extending for some distance along the stream. There are records of structures and buildings associated with Medieval or later tin working in the immediate area (UID: 442096).
