Name:Drain under railway track bed north-west of Swelltor Quarry

Summary

Northeast-southwest aligned drain with 0.3m (internal) diameter ceramic pipe. The ends of the drain are dressed in cemented granite masonry with red brick dressings. Overall the drain is about 7.3m in length and about 1.6m externally. In height, the drain faces are 0.57m on the higher (northeast) side and 0.8m on the lower (southwest) side. The drain is in poor condition.

Drain at SX 55507 73455. Northeast-southwest aligned drain with 0.3m (internal) diameter ceramic pipe. The ends of the drain are dressed in cemented granite masonry with red brick dressings. Overall the drain is about 7.3m in length and about 1.6m externally. In height, the drain faces are 0.57m on the higher (northeast) side and 0.8m on the lower (southwest) side.
The drain is in poor condition. Cement is cracking in places and there are bricks missing from the higher (northeast) face. One side of the lower masonry face has actually broken away.
