Stone-lined and stone-faced (granite) drain running southeast-northwest under Princetown Branch track bed. The interior of the drain is 0.55m wide and over 0.25m high with a rubble stone floor. It is c.4m in length and conveys rainwater run-off under the old railway track bed.

Full description

SX 56128 72318. Stone-lined and stone-faced (granite) drain running southeast-northwest under Princetown Branch track bed. The interior of the drain is 0.55m wide and over 0.25m high with a rubble stone floor. It is c.4m in length and conveys rainwater run-off under the old railway track bed.
The stonework over the southeast-facing lintel has collapsed and fallen into the approach channel, where it is causing a minor obstruction. Otherwise the drain is in fairly good condition.
