Name:Drain under railway trackbed, Walkhampton Common

Summary

Stone-lined and stone-faced (granite) drain running northeast-southwest under the Princetown Branch track bed, a short distance to the northwest of the old outer enclosures of Routrundle Farm. The interior of the drain is 0.53m wide and 0.42m high with a rubble stone floor. The main, covered, section of the drain is c.5.4m in length. It has short, sloped wing walls on its lower (southwest) side.

Drain at SX 55460 71921. Stone-lined and stone-faced (granite) drain running northeast-southwest under the Princetown Branch track bed, a short distance to the northwest of the old outer enclosures of Routrundle Farm. The interior of the drain is 0.53m wide and 0.42m high with a rubble stone floor. The main, covered, section of the drain is c.5.4m in length. It has short, sloped wing walls on its lower (southwest) side.
The drain is in good condition and its interior is clear from any obstruction.
