Summary
Vis=estimated -/-/1979 (robinson, r. ). There is a pit close to the bank of the east glaze, about 100m from the north end of the opencast mine gully a little further down. It is about 30m across including its spoil heaps which surround a rush filled watery hollow. The spoilheaps are irregular with a maximum height of 3m. This may be a trial pit for tin related to the opencast workings. It shows well on the 1948 raf ap.
