Full description
Wakeham, C., 2016, Report on an Audit of Archaeological Features and Structures Relating to Railways and Tramways on Dartmoor Phase 1, DR+T_PDR_040 (Report - Assessment). SDV360397.
Earthwork (hollow) at SX 57207 73134. Sub-rectangular, almost D-shaped, hollow adjoining the northern side of an abandoned stretch of Plymouth and Dartmoor Railway (DR+T_PDR_039). It is c.4m in length (east-west) and c.3m wide at its furthest point. It sits on the edge of a slight, kerb-like ridge (c.0.2m high/deep) on the edge of the track bed. The hollow itself is c.0.5m deep.
The hollow is partly overgrown with reeds and tufty grass.
