Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Three ranges of buildings are depicted, forming the north, west and east sides of a yard. They are recorded as House Barton and Homestead (Plot 2073) on the Uffculme Tithe Apportionment.

Smithincott Farm marked. Comparison of the layout with the earlier Tithe Map suggests that the farmstead has been partly rebuilt and enlarged. It now comprises two yards of buildings. The smaller, western, yard has ranges of buildings on each of its four sides with an additional cluster of buildings off its north side. The larger yard, nearest the road, has buildings along its west, north and east sides, with a horse engine house on the east (road) side of the east range.
