Milestone on the north side of the road, 14 miles from Exeter, 20 miles from Torrington. The stone was set up c. 1835 when a new road towards Exeter was built by the Great Torrington Turnpike Trust.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Milestone (M.S.) marked, Torrington 20, Exeter 14.

Jenkinson, T., 2012, Great Torrington to Morchard Road A3124/B3220 (Report - Survey). SDV347811.

Site vist 28th January 2012. Milestone on the B3220 about 100m north-west of the entrance to Ellicombe Farm. Located in the hedge on the north side of the road. The legend reads '14/Miles/Exon' on the left hand side and '20/Miles/Torrington' on the right hand side. The stone was set up c.1835 when a new road was built by the Great Torrington Turnpike Trust. It is now worn and leaning to one side.
