Pair of brick-built semi-detached houses dating to the early-mid 19th century, based on cartographic evidence. Depicted on the 1840s Tithe Map, they have been altered but still present an attractive pair of houses within the village.

Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Buildings are depicted on the for the first time on 1840s Tithe Map. Set within plot 968, the apportionment only records 'garden' here, but the buildings are clearly shown, along with those to the east.

The late 19th century historic map shows the buildings, with additional structure to the west.

The early 20th century historic map shows little change since the late 19th century map, although the structure to the west has been removed by this time.

(Image dates: 2008, 2011, 2016 and September 2022) Attractive pair of brick built houses, with matched central gable end; the entrances are to either side. Mixed collection of window types, including some casements. Roofs are tiled, central brick chimney visible.
