Summary

K6 telephone box by Chapel House (now houses a defibrillator). Designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the coronation of King George V, these boxes are constructed from cast iron as a square kiosk with domed roof.

(Image dates December 2008 - 2023) Type K6 telephone box visible beside old stone building marked as Telegraph Office; there is also a letter box set into the wall of this building. By December 2021, this had been re-purposed to house a defibrillator.
Designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the coronation of King George V. Made by various contractors. Cast iron. Square kiosk with domed roof. Unperforated crowns to top panels and margin glazing to windows and door.
